The Center for American Progress (CAP) believes an equitable education for all Americans lies at the center of improving lives and breaking the cycle of poverty in our country. This mission remains despite the development and implementation of education policy moving from a strong federal role to a diversified state role. Recognizing that transition, CAP’s Education Group engaged RALLY to provide strategic guidance on how to best approach its outreach and communication work in this new era.
Specifically, RALLY advised CAP on its key education programs, including: (1) the TeachStrong campaign which brings together organizations from every side of the education debate to unite around a shared goal of elevating the teaching profession, (2) ongoing implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and (3) sustaining support for the Common Core. RALLY also helped CAP find its voice in the crowded education space by developing a message framework to guide its education team as it engages beyond the beltway.
