Kathryn Rees

Account Associate

Kathryn Rees is an Account Associate at RALLY with experience in research, policy analysis, and strategic planning.

Kathryn works with Casey Family Programs on a campaign to change the conversation around the nation’s foster care system and keep kids out of foster care. Previously at RALLY, Kathryn worked on NBCUniversal’s Erase the Hate campaign and learned the ropes of the tech media landscape while working closely with Reddit. She has also managed the online presence of The California Endowment’s 10-year, $1 billion initiative to improve health outcomes in 14 communities across the state.

Prior to joining RALLY, Kathryn interned at the White House, researching school-to-prison pipeline and foster care reform issues for the Domestic Policy Council. Kathryn spent two summers teaching at Khan Academy’s STEM summer camp, The Discovery Lab, and taught science experiments for four years at a community school in Baltimore. Kathryn enjoys using communications as a vehicle for social change both as a teacher and through strategic campaign development.

Kathryn graduated from Johns Hopkins University where she majored in Public Health with a concentration in policy and inequality studies. As an undergraduate, Kathryn interned with the Hopkins Office of Sustainability and danced hip hop and contemporary ballet with her dance team, Jaywalk.

Outside the office, you can find Kathryn in the dance studio, hiking the Santa Monica mountains, or lip syncing to her favorite country music while she sits in L.A. traffic.
