How do you inspire people to reimagine what a high school should be today?
RALLY developed an influencer engagement strategy to promote events, drive media attention and build interest in the challenge to reimagine high schools. Driving earned media around key milestones in the challenge, RALLY fostered a national discussion around the urgency of rethinking high school, and highlighted the power of local collaboration. Following the challenge, RALLY worked with each future XQ Super School to build their communications capacity to tell their unique stories. RALLY continues to support XQ Institute in its mission to make high school redesign accessible to all communities.
For the launch of the challenge, RALLY focused on engaging national thought leaders and education insiders via mainstream outlets and trade publications. Capitalizing on the momentum from the launch, RALLY generated local press – television, radio and print – around a multi-city national roadshow and bus tour. For the announcement of the winning schools, RALLY executed media relations in 10 local markets (print/television exclusive) coupled with national television and print exclusives. Today, RALLY coordinates earned media and speaking opportunities for XQ leadership and the future Super Schools.
The press around the announcement of the challenge helped build momentum to inspire teams in every state and US territory to form teams and submit applications for the Super School Challenge. No education challenge in recent history has generated as much community excitement to redesign American high schools that better serve today’s young people for tomorrow’s world. XQ Institute continues pushing boundaries to encourage all Americans to get involved in this vital effort.
