Alyssa King is an Account Manager at RALLY who specializes in cross-platform communication. She brings over a decade of agency and in-house experience to the firm and is RALLY’s first Colorado-based team member. With a comprehensive knowledge of earned media, paid, creative and digital, Alyssa builds smart, integrated campaigns that deliver on results and drive conversations.
At RALLY, Alyssa works with the Walton Family Foundation, The Colorado Trust and Arnold Ventures, helping her clients advocate for progressive education, health equity, and criminal justice reform. With a background in planning and earned media relations, Alyssa also provides guidance for RALLY clients through their strategic planning process by helping them to define clear communications goals and then build a strong brand narrative and campaign plan.
Alyssa acquired her diverse set of skills by working at both advertising and PR agencies in Los Angeles including Media Arts Lab (MAL/TBWA), Edelman and Ogilvy. Working with global, entertainment and tech brands, Alyssa worked with clients to infuse earned thinking into their creative strategy, helping produce and execute campaigns including, Apple’s “Welcome Home” HomePod launch, Netflix global Cheating 2.0 brand study, Ticketmaster’s Super Bowl LI “Real Ticket, Real Fans” activation, Microsoft’s Summer Camp and STEM education initiatives and Taco Bell’s return to Super Bowl 50. By working hand-in-hand with creative, digital and paid departments, she knows how to amplify content and tell stories that resonated with audiences and create cultural moments.
In addition to her agency work, Alyssa learned about media first-hand by working in-house at public radio station KCRW (89.9FM), an NPR affiliate based in Los Angeles. As Communications Director, Alyssa worked with the station’s General Manager to oversee both internal and external communications – from amplifying the station’s original news, talk and music programming, to donor and influencer relations, to launching a multimillion-dollar Capital Campaign for their new building.
Alyssa’s desire to work with issues-based organizations stems from a background with non-profits starting in Washington, DC. She attended American University where she graduated with honors and earned her B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Marketing Communications. After living on both coasts for more than 15 years, Alyssa is excited to return home to the Colorado mountains where dogs often outnumber humans.
