Devin McMahon is an Account Associate in RALLY’s Los Angeles office with experience in media relations, writing, and research, and analysis.
At RALLY, Devin works for Arnold Ventures, with whom she helps drive media coverage around the country’s unjust pretrial detention in an effort to ensure that jail is used only when absolutely necessary. She supports the Center for Western Priorities on media strategies to elevate issues and solutions surrounding responsible public land use and conservation. Devin is also currently working with GoFundMe to promote crowdfunding campaigns through national and local media and with The California Endowment’s Building Healthy Communities campaign on social media.
Devin first joined RALLY as an intern in the Los Angeles office, where she spent four summers before joining the team as an Account Associate. As an intern, she assisted senior staff in the full spectrum of strategic communications, campaign planning, content creation, and event planning on work ranging from education equality and transgender justice with Public Counsel and gun safety with Sandy Hook Promise to abortion access with NARAL and Planned Parenthood.
Devin is an alumna of Oberlin College, where she majored in Politics. During her years there, she was Features Editor of Oberlin’s alternative newspaper and was awarded a Cole Scholarship in Oberlin’s Initiative in Electoral Politics (OIEP). Through OIEP, Devin interned for Katie Hill in her congressional campaign to flip House seat CA-25 and with Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project where she researched and assisted in electoral strategy. After spending four years in Ohio at Oberlin College, she is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Los Angeles, where good Thai food, museums, and sunshine are much more abundant.
