Kacey’s passion in the social impact space began with her work as a high school science teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Teaching minority and low-income children, Kacey was inspired and dedicated to enriching the lives of underserved students through quality educational experiences.
Kacey grew up in Northern California and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. Heavily influenced by her Southern-grown family, she loves to cook and bring friends and family together over a good meal and enjoys listening to live music at small venues across Los Angeles. Kacey also values giving back to her community and spends much of her free time volunteering with the homeless population of downtown LA and mentoring children in underserved communities. Kacey’s passion for education and fighting inequity is rooted in her family of educators and a long history of civil rights activism.
