Sam Read is an Digital Account Executive at RALLY where he specializes in social media strategy, targeted digital advertising, and web and email campaigns.
Sam’s experience spans from digital marketing and communications strategy to online advocacy and awareness campaigns. At RALLY, Sam leads digital communications for various campaigns. Among these are helping to promote charter public schools in Oakland for Oakland Families for Quality Schools, designing paid social media activations for the Campaign for Student Success in Washington state, and developing digital strategy for the 100 Hours campaign here in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining RALLY, Sam oversaw social media and digital engagement for No Kid Hungry, driving awareness and action to end childhood hunger in America. He has worked on legislative advocacy campaigns, grassroots mobilization efforts, and fundraising partnerships with a broad spectrum of non-profit, government and private sector partners. He also worked as a field organizer for President Obama’s 2012 campaign, executing voter outreach and turnout strategies.
Sam graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Anthropology. While at Tufts, Sam competed on the track & field team as a pole vaulter, and studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia. A lifelong East Coaster, Sam is new to Los Angeles and working hard not to judge people for being cold when it’s 65 degrees.
