Sean Wherley is an Account Manager in RALLY’s Los Angeles office, who draws upon his 20 years of communications experience to position organizations in the public eye and advance their work in the community.
During his career, he has managed communications and public policy for affordable housing, environmental, and LGBTQ organizations; labor unions; federal and state elected officials; and candidates for state and local elected office. Through much of that time he has focused on earned media campaigns and securing compelling coverage in print, digital, and broadcast outlets.
Sean relishes helping social justice organizations win, especially when the odds are daunting and the larger community is indifferent. There is nothing more satisfying to him than putting his communications skills and advocacy experience to work on behalf of the men, women, and children who are marginalized.
He is a native of Wisconsin and earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, but has lived in Southern California since 2006. A former stand-up comedian, he also enjoys cooking, reading, swimming, yoga, going to the beach, and documentaries.
