Derwin Aikens is an Account Executive in RALLY’s Los Angeles office with experience in message development, research and analysis, and media relations.
At RALLY, Derwin works with clients on issues ranging from education and poverty to correcting misinformation. Derwin is working with the California state government to distribute and correct information surrounding the Covid-19 vaccine. He is also working with the H.E. Butt Foundation to shift the narrative around the effectiveness of direct payment systems to address poverty in Texas. Other notable clients include the Walton Family Foundation’s K-12 Education program and GoFundMe.
Prior to RALLY, Derwin worked at Sard Verbinnen & Company, a leading crisis and financial communications firm, where he worked on various corporate issues ranging from M&A announcements and cybersecurity matters to public affairs and profile raising campaigns.
Derwin graduated from Yale University with a degree in Environmental Studies focusing in Strategic Communications. When not working, Derwin delights in nerdiness, spending his free time playing adventure video games, binging anime series, and discussing the political subtext and/or implications of movies and TV shows.
