Hillary Moglen is a Principal at RALLY, providing high-level strategy and communications guidance across an array of accounts. With a robust background in policy and law, Hillary is adept at simplifying complex advocacy challenges and transforming them into actionable, results-focused campaigns.
Hillary has played a crucial role in helping to expand the firm’s footprint and grow the firm’s diverse talent pool. She has assumed a leadership role within the RALLY that allows her to contribute to the management areas she’s most passionate about: the professional development of staff and the shaping of the company’s culture.
Hillary approaches her work with enthusiasm and curiosity, fueling a drive for insights that translate into winning strategies for her clients. She is particularly proud of recent campaigns around environmental issues with Earthjustice and the Natural Resources Defense Council; social justice with Community Coalition; and civil rights, where Hillary co-led the communications campaign to help free wrongly-detained DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) beneficiary Daniel Ramirez Medina. Hillary has also led some of RALLY’s higher profile education work, specifically XQ: The Super School Project, an ambitious first-of-its-kind initiative that calls on the American public to rethink and design the next American high school, and Students Matter, the nation’s premier organization dedicated to promoting quality public education through impact litigation and advocacy.
Before joining RALLY, Hillary worked at a national philanthropic consulting firm, where she managed high-profile clients’ philanthropic work, and a Los Angeles-based public affairs firm, where she focused on clients in the energy and environmental sectors. She also worked on both a California Senate campaign and a presidential primary campaign, and managed the Green Schools Campaign on behalf of the Los Angeles-based environmental nonprofit, Global Green USA.
Hillary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Brown University and a Juris Doctorate from the UC Hastings College of the Law. She is currently a mentor through Brown University’s Women’s Launch Pad program and volunteers with Social Venture Partners, Los Angeles. Hillary grew up in Los Angeles and currently enjoys hiking, trying to beat her husband in tennis, and keeping up with her two young boys.
