Kaitlin Funaro is an Account Manager at RALLY specializing in communication strategy and media relations. She has a background in news production and spent seven years as an international news producer in business, technology, and breaking news.
Kaitlin works with the global TIME’S UP movement to take its call to end harassment, abuse, and inequality for all women into boardrooms and legislative chambers to create lasting change. Kaitlin coordinated the TIME’S UP Days of Witness events in Los Angeles, New York, and London that brought together women from across industries to share stories and develop action plans for policy and behavior change. She also helped launch TIME’S UP London by shaping communications and messaging for TIME’S UP’s presence at the BAFTA awards in 2018. Kaitlin also works to elevate deep tech innovations that are revolutionizing the way we interact with science and technology.
Kaitlin also handled media relations for a high-profile legal case supporting a DACA recipient who was illegally detained by ICE, launched a California-based zero-emissions energy and transportation campaign with the national environmental law firm Earthjustice, and managed a coalition of reproductive rights groups including NARAL Pro-Choice America. With NARAL, Kaitlin handled communications, media relations, and organizing around All Access 2016, a night of music and comedy supporting abortion rights during the 2016 presidential election.
Prior to joining RALLY, Kaitlin worked as a radio news producer in Los Angeles for NPR affiliate KPCC and American Public Media’s ‘Marketplace’. Previously, she was a business & economics producer for the BBC based in London where she produced the early morning financial news program ‘Wake Up to Money’ and covered European business and tech news.
When not at RALLY, Kaitlin is either at one of Hollywood’s many music venues or drinking coffee at the park with her two small kids.
