Max Brimelow joins RALLY’s San Francisco office as an Account Associate specializing in video and editing. He is a producer, visual journalist, and animator committed to supporting progressive campaigns through impactful, mission-driven storytelling.
Since joining RALLY in March 2021, Max has worked with multiple projects as a specialist in video production. Thus far, his work has included pushing for childcare funding in Washington State; helping a pandemic-era rental assistance program spread its message; and advocating for more accessible solar energy in California. While his work to date has focused on post-production, he hopes to get out in the field once public health guidelines allow!
Max is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where he specialized in short form video storytelling and motion graphics. His thesis project was an animated explainer about Covid-19 vaccines. He also produced stories on subjects from ICE deportations in Oakland, to police regulation in Berkeley, to sustainable fish farming in Northern California. His work has appeared in the New York Times, The Guardian, and Stat News, amongst others.
Max also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Manchester in the UK. He has previously worked as a freelance journalist, teacher, and even a tour guide.
Originally from Oxford in the UK, Max is a big follower of Arsenal Football Club and a keen player himself. In his free time, you might also find him hiking, fishing, reading, or playing a round of disc golf.
