How does a grassroots, youth-led movement train the next generation of activists?
The students behind March For Our Lives are leading the charge on preventing gun violence in communities across the US. RALLY worked with MFOL leaders to educate and train the next generation of activists through their first national organizing summit – OurPower.
RALLY worked with MFOL to create the curriculum, content, and handled logistics for OurPower – a three-day organizing summit for chapter leaders across the country. Together, we developed an organizing training strategy and programming, including hands-on workshops on organizing, messaging, gun violence prevention policy, diversity & inclusion, and digital engagement.
More than 300 youth activists left the OurPower summit prepared, energized, united, and ready to do whatever it takes to change the country’s laws and minds on the issue of gun violence. RALLY and MFOL are gearing up for OurPower 2020 – taking this training and organizing model to a new group of youth activists during a critically important election year.
